Graphics Rules

 

Graphic images are very easily obtained from the world wide web. However, you may not use any picture or graphic obtained from another's site (in whole or in part) without written permission.

Several web sites provide free images for non-commercial sites. Read carefully their specifications for use of the images (you may need to reference their site and/or create a link back to the page where the image is placed).

Web rules are still somewhat ambiguous. If you use an image from a web site without written permission, you must at least give that site credit for the image, and provide the URL to that site to avoid copyright infringement.

Images on the Pennsylvania 4-H web site may be used for county 4-H club web sites within the state. Permission should be obtained from specific counties for use of different images on their individual sites.

Before placing graphics, especially photographs, on the web, be sure to reduce the file size as much as possible. For more information:
