Curriculum Committee Meeting

MINUTES
Present: Carol Schurman, Christy Bartley
The following items were discussed:
Bottle Launcher Safety-It was felt that the safety rules in the rocketry manual should be followed for all launches including bottle rocket launches. This includes all participants standing at least 20 feet away from the launcher and launching in open areas. Educators looking for these safety rules should refer to the Rocketry members guide found at http://pa4h.cas.psu.edu/Projects/Rocketry/RocketryMG.pdf.
Small Engines 4-H CCS Curriculum-The curriculum has been reviewed by 4-H CCS and updated. New curriculum will be placed on the shelves for use as needed.
Committee Membership-Christy will work with Lydia to obtain enrollment numbers for this project area by county. Counties with highest enrollments will be contacted to find out if some volunteers would like to serve as a part of the committee. Other Extension Educators may also be recruited.
