Minutes:

  • In Attendance:  Dreschel, Bartley, Clauer. Bryan, P. Comerford, Harpster, Mikesell

  • Christy Bartley distributed information on Youth Development, Volunteer Development, and Monetary Development, impacts of 4-H, and proper care and use of the 4-H Clover.

  • Curriculum requests are due in early January as in previous years.  Livestock will request 4HCCS Veterinary Science Curriculum and ask to revise Swine Reference Guide in 2005.  Dairy Beef Feeder Guide (approved in 2002) will be available in manuscript form by Jan. 2005.  Dreschel and Harpster will review small animal materials to see if we need to request any updates.  Other requests should be made by individual subcommittees on-line and copied to Mikesell.

  • Progress of the QA Working Group was discussed.  Results of that group should be available before the Feb 4 inservice.

  • Due to the limited use of the 4HCCS swine, sheep, and beef materials, they will not be reordered in 2005.  Current supplies are expected to be exhausted approximately 9/05.  These have been replaced by in-house Reference Guides.

Upcoming inservice dates/times are as follows:

  • 2005 Animal Science Spring Inservice – February 4, 2005
  • First Animal Science Fall Inservice – Fall statewide inservice period, Oct. 2005
  • Youth Horse Inservice – Spring, 2006

Spring meeting dates were set for 2/10 and 4/21/2005 at 9:30 AM.  Place to be determined.
