An Invitation to Adults with An Itch to Assist

Nearly 11,000 adults volunteer each year to assist with the Pennsylvania 4-H and youth development program. Many are parents of 4-H members and many jobs are available in addition to leading a local 4-H group. The best way to learn about volunteering in 4-H is to donate some time to a local group. Some ideas of how you can help are listed below. Check the things you can do now and let the 4-H leader know you are interested in assisting a local group.

Additional volunteers are needed on other levels of the 4-H program. Find out more about available roles by contacting your county extention agent for 4-H. Some positions available include:

County: leader, key leader, advisory committee member, event coordinator
Regional: committee member
State: chaperone, committee member
